Level 1 Electricians

At EG Electrical, we excel in every facet of underground and overhead installations, cable laying, and chamber substation projects. Our team comprises approximately 50 highly skilled staff members and electricians, ensuring the delivery of top-quality services every time.

Our state-of-the-art equipment and tools comply with ASP Level 1 standards, and our ASP Level 1 team is highly qualified and extensively trained. Level 1 Service Provider Definitions

Class 1A

Overhead – work on or near the overhead electricity network. Including:

  • Overhead line construction
  • High-voltage power installations
  • Transformer installation and upgrades
  • Compliance with safety standards
  • Reliable network connections

Class 1B

Underground Paper lead and Polymeric – work on or near the underground electricity network, including polymeric and paper lead cables:

  • Installation of underground electricity cables
  • Maintenance of polymeric cable systems
  • Trenching and excavation for cable laying
  • Connection to underground power networks
  • Adherence to underground installation standards
  • Excavation and trenching for power lines
  • Polymeric cable laying and jointing

Class 1C

Underground Polymeric Only – Involves work on or near underground electricity networks using polymeric cables, as specified for Class 1B, excluding paper lead and CONSAC cables.

Our Level 1 ASP Electrical Services

EG Electrical specializes in high-voltage and Level 1 ASP services. We are accredited with all NSW energy providers, including Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy, and Essential Energy, ensuring comprehensive and reliable electrical solutions.

Underground (U/G)

Underground (U/G) services include cable installation, maintenance, and repair, ensuring efficient power distribution while minimizing surface disruption.

Commissioning

Over Head

LEVEL 1 ELECTRICAL FAQS

Level 1 Electricians specialize in power distribution networks and work associated with installing, maintaining, or repairing overhead and underground power cables close to a roadway. In other words, if you require construction work for your power distribution network, you should attain the services of a Level 1 Electrician. This may include erecting electric poles or digging trenches.

Level 1 Electricians are accredited to undertake construction work for power distribution networks, whereas Level 2 electricians are not. Therefore, by law, you must engage a Level 1 ASP any time there is construction work involved.

D. Frame Electrical offers a range of quality, accredited Level 1 services for residential and commercial customers. We undertake trench excavations, redundant network removal, and cable jointings with nearby power lines – all done professionally at competitive prices.

Class 1C – Work on underground electricity system networks.
This may include but is not limited to the excavations, laying of cables, laying of ducts, cable jointing, and substation construction.
