Electricity distribution in Sydney is managed by three main providers: Ausgrid, Essential Energy, and Endeavour Energy. Depending on which company serves your area, your electricity usage will be categorized into peak, shoulder, and off-peak time periods.
For Ausgrid Customers:
- Peak: Monday to Friday, from 2pm to 8pm (excluding public holidays).
- Shoulder: Monday to Friday, from 7am to 2pm and from 8pm to 10pm; weekends and public holidays, from 7am to 10pm.
- Off-Peak: All other times.
For Essential Energy Customers:
- Peak: Monday to Friday, from 7am to 9am and from 5pm to 8pm.
- Shoulder: Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm and from 8pm to 1pm.
- Off-Peak: All other times.
For Endeavour Energy Customers:
- Peak: Monday to Friday, from 1pm to 8pm (excluding public holidays).
- Shoulder: Monday to Friday, from 7am to 1pm and from 8pm to 10pm; weekends and public holidays, from 7am to 10pm.
- Off-Peak: From 10pm to 7am daily.
